Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee all aspects of ground-up construction projects from pre-construction through completion. You will manage daily site operations, enforce safety protocols, coordinate subcontractors, and collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and developers.
As UBR GROUP continues to grow, you will also have the opportunity to mentor junior team members, drive process improvements, and ensure seamless integration between design and construction teams — minimizing errors, changing orders, and budget overruns.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Planning
Coordinate procurement of long-lead items.
Develop and implement detailed project schedules.
Construction Oversight & Quality Assurance
Supervise daily construction activities ensuring compliance with safety standards and architectural specifications.
Implement quality assurance programs and proactively address construction details.
Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination
Manage subcontractor and vendor performance, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
Lead weekly subcontractor meetings to resolve challenges and manage change orders.
Scheduling & Budget Monitoring
Track project schedules, costs, and progress to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.
Monitor expenditures, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
Communication & Reporting
Provide regular updates to the UBR team with detailed documentation including reports and photographs.
Administer and document progress meetings.
Compliance & Inspection Management
Coordinate inspections and ensure adherence to building codes and safety regulations.
Problem-Solving & Execution
Identify and resolve site issues efficiently, optimizing construction means and methods.
Oversee logistics, material approvals, and equipment procurement.
Project Closeout
Manage project closeout, provide Owner occupancy training, and ensure final inspections are completed.
Qualification
Experience
2–4+ years of experience as a superintendent on ground-up construction projects.
Successful completion of at least one single-family home from start to finish.
Technical Skills
Proficient with Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Office, and related construction management software.
Expert in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering plans.
Key Attributes
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations and quality control processes.
Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors and maintain project momentum.
Education & Authorization
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Authorized to work in the United States.
