Position Summary

UBR is seeking a Real Estate Financial Analyst with approximately 2 years of experience to support investment underwriting, financial modeling, and deal execution. The analyst will work closely with senior leadership, acquisitions, and development teams to evaluate new opportunities and support ongoing projects.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong financial foundation, attention to detail, and interest in real estate investment and development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain financial models for real estate acquisitions, developments, and asset management.

  • Assist in underwriting new investment opportunities, including analysis of expenses, financing structures, and exit assumptions.

  • Prepare investment memos, presentations, and deal summaries for internal review and lenders.

  • Analyze market data, comparable sales, and rent comps to support assumptions.

  • Support financing efforts, including lender sizing, debt scenarios, and return analysis.

  • Track and analyze project budgets, draws, and forecasts in coordination with development and accounting teams.

  • Support asset management with ongoing performance tracking and variance analysis.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, or related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in real estate financial analysis, investment banking, private equity, development, or a related role.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel (financial modeling required).

  • Basic understanding of real estate concepts: NOI, cap rates, IRR, equity multiples, debt structures.

  • Experience creating or reviewing investment analyses.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Interest in real estate investment and development.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and team leadership skills.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and a hands-on approach to quality assurance.

  • Authorized to work in the United States.


Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with ground-up development or value-add projects.

  • Exposure to Argus, Yardi, or similar real estate software.

  • Familiarity with construction budgets and draw processes.

  • Experience preparing materials for lenders or investors.
